Scripture: Malachi 3:10-12 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.  Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.  I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your field will not cast their fruit,” says the Lord Almighty.  “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.”

 

Purpose: Church Constitution Mandated Committee - Eight (8) disciples This ministry shall provide opportunities for helping the church to become aware of all facets of its mission at home and abroad and oversee the planning and activities involved in securing tithes and offerings.

Benefit: The biblical principle of tithing is taught, explained and shared in testimony to help disciples grow in their personal stewardship of time, talents and gifts.  This is the foundation of abundant living

 

Activities: Annual Conference to address areas of stewardship that hinder disciples from leaning in to be more faithful in their giving and sharing of their time in the Kingdom.

Prepare and lead campaigns for supporting the work of the church financially, Common Vision Campaign, Sanctuary Improvement Campaign, Scholarship Offerings, etc.

Participants: Disciples volunteer and are elected yearly to a one (1) year term

Assessment:

Many disciples have grown but there is still much work to do especially with our young adult population.  The ministry has been intentional to work toward initiatives to assist the young adults mature in this area.
