Aging Graysfully Senior Ministry
Minister Leader: Deacon Frankie Smallwood
Scripture: Psalm 91:14-16—Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.
Purpose: The MNLC Senior Ministry is a coed ministry for members ages 55 and over. Our seniors are an essential part of many ministries within our church. Our purpose is to promote spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional growth through a variety of wholesome activities that will stimulate seasoned adults and ensure that they feel esteemed and included. Our desire is to present Christ in a contemporary, creative, caring and credible way so people can grow in their full potential in Christ.
Benefit: The overall well-being of participants will be enhanced with the opportunity to enjoy field trips, luncheons, movie matinees, game days, crafts, visit the sick in home and facilities, educational workshops and community outreach projects. We give service to other ministries by sharing our time, resources, experience, knowledge and abilities.
Date Held: Meetings are the fourth Monday {usually beginning 12noon or 1pm} of the following months: January, February, April, May, August, October, and November. Birthday celebrations months are March, June, September, and December. Activities are usually on Monday, however, are subject to church calendar and type of event.

Assessment/ Goals and measurement of success of the Ministry:
We have been able to receive retirees as new members and see the impact in their lives and the Church. We endeavor to find ways to attract the 55 and over that may be still working. We have facilitated several events with many more guest in attendance than our members. This was and will be intentional. We will strive to have an evangelism opportunity included in our activities.
